Shinichi Osawa

If you like and appreciate electorica music like i do, then, you would love the work of Schinichi Osawa, a one man DJ from the land of the rising sun Japan. This guy’s stuff is radical, a former bassist turned DJ/Producer. Shinichi is becoming well known in the scene of electronica music. He did several remixes of some of the popular groups out there, to name some-Chemical Brothers, Boys Noize, Digitalism, Soulwax, Plaid, and the Mighty Dub Katz.  I dug his style and dynamic on stage. Some of the tracks that I really enjoy are “The One,” “Electro411,” “The Patch,” “Rendevouz,” “The Golden,” “Detonator,” “Dreamhunt,” and the electro rock type “Maximum Joy,” pretty much majority of the tracks from the first album. Here are some videos.

Starbucks Breakfast Sandwich

“After revolutionizing our mornings with deliciousness that can only be achieved through state-of-the-art “warming technology” that succeeds in both heating eggs to the perfect temperature as well as exquisitely toasting the edges of the world’s largest English muffins, Starbucks has announced that it’s returning to its roots, and will no longer serve the Breakfast Sandwich. What will kick off our road trips? What will encourage us to come to work on Friday mornings? How can we go back to getting our morning protein in a latte? Starbucks must be told that we won’t back down. If it doesn’t feed us, what will?”

A friend sent me an invite a week ago to this “Save the Starbucks Breakfast Sandwich“ group on facebook.  The paragraph on top is the group’s description.  I didn’t know people can get so dedicated when it comes to their breakfast.    I must say, I was a bit intrigued about this whole breakfast sandwich craze.  So this morning, I made sure I have time to stop by and grab one myself before I get to work.  I just finished pounding this so called breakfast sandwich.  After further ingestion, I must say I wasn’t satisfied, but nonetheless I’m full.  The sandwich is rather bland for my taste, chewing the bread is like chewing a gum.  I know the sandwich is almost gone, but don’t be so conclusive, I’m just hungry.  I will now carry this burden for the rest of the day.
